Real attain Third spot

Real Madrid paved the path they must follow at the Camp Nou last week, but tonight changes had to be made in the starting eleven due to injuries and to Ramos' suspension. Fabio Cannavaro recovered from his injury and returned to the centre of the defense and Míchel Salgado took the right back position. The greatest novelty in the lineup was Antonio Cassano, who was replaced by Robinho in the second half.

Nastic had a corageous start, proving to be the same side that has won seven out of a possible nine points in the past three weeks. The Catalan team were looking to earn a miraculous victory that would help them on their way out of the relegation zone. Pinilla took the reins of his team, who were backed up by 3,000 fans that made their way to the Santiago Bernabéu tonight.
