Carlos Tevez Set For Derby Debut.....

Carlos Tevez could be set for an explosive full debut in the Manchester derby at Eastlands in 10 days’ time. The Argie hitman’s move to Manchester United has been held up by red tape but he has still been training with his new team-mates. Yet assistant boss Carlos Queiroz feels the 23-year-old striker will need around a fortnight before starting a game. That means he should be ready by the end of next week and brings the intriguing possibility of him making his debut against City.

The prospect of Tevez lining up alongside Wayne Rooney is a mouthwatering one for Newcastle legend Alan Shearer, who tells The Sun that the duo can play a key role in United retaining the Premier League title.

Various tabloids report on United's friendly victories over Dunfermline and Glentoran, with Nani supposedly set for an ear-bashing from Sir Alex Ferguson after performing his spectacular goal celebration in Belfast.

In the Daily Mail, departed winger Kieran Richardson admits he had no doubts about joining former Reds skipper Roy Keane at Sunderland.
