Manchester United won the champions league for the third time.From the start of the match The Red Devils took the game to Chelsea . Chelsea concede a goal from a brilliant Ronaldo header .The Blues equalized before half time,this time Frank Lampard scored from a defensive lapse .
The second half belonged to Chelsea.But they could not convert the pressure to a goal.United should have taken the chances they had in the first half because Chelsea were getting closer and closer to goal ,during extra time.
Ronaldo missed a penalty.However Van Der Saar who won the title with Ajax 13 years ago saved a penalty from Anelka who looked nervous from the start.
Manchester United snatched the Champion's League Trophy from Chelsea thanks to John Terry who slipped while taking a penalty,and shot the ball wide of the right post.
